Kidepo valley is truly the African wilderness, the hidden secrets of nature, yet to be discovered. It is a rich virgin land full of spectacular and magnificent large sand rivers, a typical composition of wild game, co-existing with the dry mountain forests, open savanna, and hilltops capped by rock kopjes. Kidepo valley is located in the Karamoja region in the northeast at the edges where Uganda borders Sudan in the North West and Kenya in the northeast. It sits on a wide land of up to 1,442 km² the only place you encounter the cheaters and ostriches in Uganda.

Queen Elizabeth National Park covers an area of about 1978 km2; its position provides a magnificent view of the rift valley floor that occupies Lake Edward and Gorge. Its well know to be a habitat of about 95 mammals along with 612 species of birds. Formerly, a historian known as Douglas Willocks talked about the various features that led to the formation of the park in 1952.

Bwindi was established as a national park in 1991, the park habituates different bird species, wildlife, flora, and fauna. Mountain gorillas are found in only three countries in the world, Rwanda, Congo, and Uganda. Uganda has got the largest population of mountain gorilla and a number of tourists flood to Bwindi and Mgahinga gorilla national park to trek the endangered mountain gorillas.
