4 DAYS KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK FLY SAFARI


This 4 Day Kidepo Valley national park fly safari is designed for those travelers who have less time to drive from Kampala to Kidepo valley National Park but can afford to charter or fly using a scheduled flight to Kidepo. The flight takes only two hours to arrive at Kidepo valley national park hence reducing on travel distance of over 12 hours’. Kidepo valley national park is located in the Karamoja region in northeast Uganda and one of the unspoiled parks in Uganda. Kidepo Valley national park was named as one of the best wildlife national parks in Africa by CNN. Expect to encounter different kinds of wildlife which include lions, African elephants, warthogs, cheetahs, caracal, and aardwolf to list the few.

Day 1

Fly to Kidepo Valley National Park

Akita wild tours representative will pick you up from the hotel either in Entebbe or Kampala and he will drive you to Entebbe international airport to catch up with your flight to Kidepo valley national park. The flight from Entebbe Airport to kidepo Valley National park exposes you to some of the best sceneries Uganda has to offer. The flight takes approximately 2 hours landing at Kidepo Valley Airstrip where our representative will pick and transfer you to the lodge. Have late lunch and then relax for a few minutes.

After you will head for an afternoon game drive in search of buffaloes, elephants, hippos, several antelopes, if lucky enough, you will see lions and leopards. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2

Morning and afternoon game drive in Narus Valley

Have morning cup of African coffee and your safari guide will pick you for game drive at Narus valley where you will find plenty of wildlife. You will see cheetahs, lions, elephants, warthogs, caracal, aardwolf and water buck among others. Kidepo game drives are so unique that you may find yourself and guide in a vast and un spoilt national park. Kidepo valley national park is surrounded by hills and rocks which makes the scenery very stunning. Return to back to lodge after game drive and have early lunch. After lunch prepare to visit the Karamajong community and experience their cultural way of life. The Karamajongo are very famous as cattle keepers who love their cattle. Take a visit to their local homes well known as the Manyatas. They will perform for you and explain their culture to you and you can enjoy their local foods as well. Return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3

Drive to Kidepo Valley for ostriches, hot springs or visit the Ik people

Raise up from the land of wilderness and take morning tea. Take another game drive through Narus Valley as you drive to Kidepo Valley where you will get a chance to see ostriches and then proceed to visit the hot springs and the guide will be delighted to explain to you the cultural attachments to these hot springs and the indigenous people. You will get an opportunity to visit the IK people. The IK people are an ethnic group of people living in mountainous area in north-eastern Uganda near the border with Kenya and South Sudan.  The IK people is the smallest ethnically group in Uganda with 10,000 number of people.

Day 4

Fly back to Entebbe to connect with your international flight out of Entebbe.

After morning breakfast, check-out of the lodge, and your safari guide/driver will transfer you to Kidepo valley Airstrip for your return flight back to Entebbe to connect with your international departure flight back home.
