Day 1: Visit Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, Ndere Cultural Centre, and Uganda Museum
Akita wild tours and travel guide/driver will pick you from the hotel after your breakfast for your day one activity. You will visit Uganda Museum the largest and oldest museum in Uganda which was founded in 1908. View the traditional and long time ago items as caretakers of the museum will narrate the stories behind each item in the museum.
After lunch, drive to Namugongo shrine which is one of the largest Catholic and Anglican pilgrimage destinations in Africa dedicated to 22 martyrs and saints of Uganda who were burned to death by King Mwanga II of Buganda. The government of Uganda declared 3rd June as a public holiday so as to honor the saints that were killed because of their faith. Hope for deep information about each martyr you would love to know. Proceed to Ndere cultural center home to cultural Ndere troupe music, you will enjoy the local performance as the sun sets down.
Day 2: Visit Bahai house of worship, Gadaffi Mosque, and Kasubi Royal Tombs
This second day we will visit the Bahai house of worship, the temple is sitting on 52 acres of land. The temple was built between 1958 and 1961 on kikaaya hill and since then the temple has received hundreds of visitors. Visit the Gadaffi Mosque the Uganda national mosque, the mosque seats over 15,000 worshipers. Have lunch and after we will visit the Kasubi Royal tombs where bodies of kings are buried and then later visit the kabaka’s palace in Mengo where you will gather information about the Buganda Kingdom.
Day 3: Visit Uganda wildlife education center, Botanical gardens, and few beaches
We will leave Kampala very early after morning breakfast, drive to Entebbe where we will visit The Uganda Wildlife Education Centre. We will gather information as we encounter different kinds of wildlife like, giraffes, elephants, lion, buffalos, monkeys, baboons, snakes, leopard, and bird species to mention but a few.
After lunch, drive to Botanical gardens for more sighting and you will spot different kinds of primates like vervet monkeys, olive baboons, and black and white colobus monkey to list the few. The garden is good for those clients who love birding because of the different types of bird species which include, common Greenshank, Madagascar Bee-eater, long-tailed and green cormorants, marsh sandpipers, Ross’s and great blue turaco, orange weaver, grey and brown parrots, golden and yellow-backed weavers, superb sunbird, bare-faced go-away-bird and little swift to mention the few.
Day 4: Transfer to Jinja for adventure
We will set off to Jinja at 6:30 am so as to avoid Jinja road traffic jam with the first stopover at sezibwa falls and you will be told stories behind the falls, proceed to Mabira forest and do a nature walk. Drive to Jinja with a beautiful view of tea plantation and sugar plantation. Upon arrival at Jinja, we will visit the source of the Nile and do white water rafting.
Day 5: Departure
Have a morning cup of coffee and head for bungee jumping at River Nile, enjoy the cool breeze of the Nile, and transfer back to Kampala with a brief stopover at the newly built Jinja bridge for some photo shot. Proceed with the journey passing through the longest forest in Uganda, sugar plantation, and tea farms. You will have another stopover at Najjembe for some chicken bits. Continue with the journey to Kampala, have lunch, and relax. Drop off to Entebbe international airport or hotel/residence.
